| Leo has developed 60kW, 120kW, and 240kW power trains compatible for electric vehicles. The 60kW power train is equivalent to 2,500cc ICE engines, 120kW produces the same power as 5,000cc ICE engines, and 240kW can replace 10,000cc engines used in buses and trucks. Using a multi-motor system technology, Leo¡¯s 1,440kW electric power train can produce equivalent power of a 60,000cc engine.
Consisting of a motor, controller and battery power pack, Leo¡¯s power train system is packaged for the highest performance. These power train systems are integrated with Leo¡¯s unique power management solutions allow vehicles to run more efficiently than ICE engine counterparts.
Leo¡¯s innovative drive mode enables the motor to exert optimum torque of each RPM range. The whipping mode cuts off the power supply to the motor as the motor works fast enough to mount roads (analogous to a spinning or whipping top). The motor is allowed to rest between whipping intervals to prevent overheat.
The 60kW power train system is applied and tested in passenger cars, mini-trucks, and SUVs. We converted the ICE engine of a passenger car named Cube, one of the best-selling compact cars in Japan, into an electric car. The electrified Cube ran more than 150 miles per single charge with top speed of 100 mph. The 60kW power train system was also successfully applied and tested by Kia Morning, Toyota RAV4, and Hyundai Porter II (1 ton carrying capacity truck).
The 120kW power train was applied and tested in a 24 seat bus. We converted the Hyundai County, an everyday bus in South Korea. The converted bus ran faster, smoother, and more than 70 mph with our 120kW power train without emission, noise, and vibration.
Leo¡¯s 240kW power train is the strongest EV power system of automobile history. We are currently converting a 45 seat bus. The result of this project will be announced at the end of 2010.
